Tips for Choosing the Right College and Course

Choosing a course after 12th can be as difficult as getting into fast train to virar. 

but it is exciting yet challenging phase of every student’s life As soon as your board exams are over, start finding  for colleges and start preparing for college entrance exams as early as possible, from my personal experience, I would have been very late for admission because I was very confused about which course and which college to choose then later on i opted for BAMMC film course and it was one of the best decision leaving the comfort of your hometown. It is a time when you embark on a new journey, exploring new opportunities, and discovering your true potential. remember, it's important to choose a college and course that aligns with your interests, career goals, and personal preferences. Trust your instincts, do thorough research, and make a decision that feels right for you. Think about what subjects you enjoy and what career path you want to pursue. 

However, it's completely normal to feel a mix of emotions, including excitement,nervousness, and even a bit of homesickness while adapting the course away from your hometown.

Here are 8 tips which will help you choose the right college and course are:- 

1 Self-Reflectiontake some time for self reflection. Ask yourself: What are your interests, passions, and career goals? understanding your strengths will guide you towards the right college and course.

2 Research, Research, ResearchOnce you have an idea of the field you're interested in, dive deep into researching colleges and courses.

3. Seek guidance

Don't hesitate to reach out for guidance. Consult with your teachers and from the people whose studying or working  in the same field.

4. Reach out to alumni and current students of the college:

While researching colleges, don't forget to read student reviews. Hearing from current or former students can provide insights into the college's academic environment, campus life, and overall student review or send a message on instagram to the alumnis or current student studying in the college. 

5. Go to the Campus:

If possible, plan a campus visit. Walking around the campus, interacting with faculty and students, and getting a sense of the atmosphere can help you alot to take a decision

6. Don’t follow Your friends

Don't choose the same course as your best friend is going to do doing this will make you in trouble as we are in school we have friends that are very close to us so sometimes we think that choosing the same course will keep us together in same college but thats not right, find your own interest and think, give it time.

7.  Trust your instincts:

Lastly, trust your instincts. After all the research, If you visit a college and it feels like the right fit, trust that feeling. Sometimes, intuition plays a big role in making the right decision. Remember, this is your educational journey, and you should choose what aligns with your goals and aspirations.

8. Consider the location and campus life of the colleges you're interested in and Think about the financial aspect and explore any scholarships or financial aid options available.


College is about more than just academics. It's about building your personality, making new friends, and engaging in extracurricular activities. It's a time to grow, explore, and have fun !
